Jude Is Rather Excited for Groundhogs Day As Well :)

Hey guys!

Have you ever seen the movie 'Groundhogs Day'?  If you haven't, it's pretty fun.  I highly recommend it!

I'm glad your Valentine's day has turned into something a little bit happier, Ezra!  I'm still going to send you both Valentine's though, just because they're fun :)  I've got plans for those little Valentines!

Crazy question, but do you guys remember when we were at Jefferson and they had these white paper bags that we were supposed to decorate for Valentine's day and then handing out Valentines was mandatory?  I'm kind of glad that that part of our lives is done... Singing Telegrams are much more fun!

I'll make sure there's a picture from before the dance taken and then I'll post it here afterwards. My height will be more proportional to Jack's this time (at least I hope)!

You know, the Jesus guy never said anything about Hitler.  I'm kind of glad he didn't, because I would have been a lot more freaked out if he had said it.

I've always wanted to mess with people that talked to me on the street.  I've never had the guts to actually do it though.  I've always contemplated speaking French to them, since more people know Spanish, I'm guessing, so they'd be more likely to be confused.  Hopefully that guy didn't bug you again after that, Ezra!

Avery, your brother comes home a lot!  And in the most interesting ways too :)  Congratulations on your engagement to your brother's friend!  Can I be a bride's maid?  I'm so excited!!!

So Avery, can you go to Underwater World?  If yes, we should figure out a date.  Jennifer Maloney can go too!  Hurray!  Yikes... admission is about $20 per person... what do you guys think about that?

I hate it when you have a favorite part of a movie and there's no screen shots online... it's really annoying!  Same thing with YouTube clips...

AJ is beautiful <3 !!!!!!!

Okay, I really must go to bed now... I have to get up to make who knows what kind of food tomorrow for a trip I'm not going on... oh well.  Someone else can benefit from the money so... yeah, either way I have to be somewhere to make food.

Night night!

Valentines Day Sulk is rapidly approaching....

...though it may be a tad less sulky this year, because me and my friend who used to have great hair are baking anti-valentines day brownies the weekend before valentines day :)

Jude, your dress is absolutely beautiful :)  I want to see pictures of you in it!!!

Also, I've never been to under water world before... I would certainly like to go! :)

OMG is the Jesus guy also saying that Hitler is alive and building bombs and hiding them in an abandoned warehouse in north minneapolis????  Because if he is, I think I've encountered that guy!!!!!

And this one time there was this guy in like a freaky african-looking robe thing with a sign written in several foreign languages who was talking to a video camera and I made the mistake of walking in front of him and he said "excuse me, young lady, did you know that America is going to be destroyed soon because the sins of white people?"  He legit said that!!!!  Instead of running, as I should have, I said "Ummm... no, I did not recieve that memo."  He said "Well, if you know what country your father is from, there may be a chance to save you..."  I said "My father is no longer alive, and I have no clue where his ancestors are from."  He looked kinda pissed when I said that, so I just ran away before he could say anything else.

Okay, Jude, here's a few pictures of AJ from Empire Records:

*sigh*
I tried to find my favorite pic of him-when theyre kissing on the roof and Corey pushes his hair back.. *girlish squeal*- but I couldn't find it :(

He's actually about a bazillion times more attractive in the movie :)

OH MY GOD I WANT TO WATCH THAT MOVIE NOW!!!!

I'm gonna go watch my so-called life and empire records 'till I drop dead of exhaustion :)

Bye!!!!!!!

Unexpected Guests Part 2

Hello!
Well, I bet you remember Megan, when in the middle of the night Adrian and his friend Mike came in and I thought that they were buglers? So I thought that my mom had come in the door (it was about 6:30) and I said, "mom?" cause she usually says hi when she comes in and I heard "ahum" in a very fake girly voice. I look over and find both of them standing there smiling at me... what a weird family I've got. But then we starting talking and I made them waffles! :) I like to be helpful. Mike was pretty funny. He was very happy that I had made him waffles and he said, "Man, I wish I had a sister!" He looked at me and said, "You know what? Lets get married, you wanna get married?" I laughed and said what about his girlfriend? He told me that they had broken up and that I shouldn't get a boyfriend and he kind of went on a rant about that... :) I love strange company!
(Sorry Ezra if you don't know any of these people)

Dresses Underwater

This post is comprised of large pictures!  Hurray!
First of all, I wanted to show you the dress that I ended up getting, but I only showed you the ones I found while window-shopping.  What do you guys think?

Senor Jack just needs to remember his permission slip and then we're ready to go.  I'm so excited!!!
To touch on previous subjects...

1. Avery, I would definitely love to go see the Oatmeal and squeal like a little girl in March!  I never know what to say to authors/other famous people, but maybe this time it'll be different!  I'm excited!  It looks like it's at the U of M and I'm pretty sure I know a vague way to get there.  I've taken a bus from my mom's work to the U campus, so we could probably do that.  Hopefully we won't run into the "second coming of Jesus" guy. Did I ever tell you about that?  I think I told a couple people... we can talk about this more in school too.  March 21st is a Monday (I guess this is more of a mental note for myself and for you if you want it).

2. Regarding the potential occasion I mentioned in my hand-written letter (and also the picture above, which I did not take with my camera or anyone else's camera)... Would you guys want to go to Underwater World in the basement of MOA with me sometime?  It might be kind of fun to do sometime.  If not now, maybe sometime during the summer?  I haven't been there in ages and it was so cooling to pet a sting-ray and not die :D  After we're done there, we could always wander the rest of the Mall if you're into that kind of thing.  It would be the two of you, me, and Jennifer Maloney if she wanted to come with.

3. Ezra, that's so cool that you're getting unbiased and-- more importantly-- honest feedback on your work.  That's a really valuable thing to any artist (or creator of any kind).  That should be fun!  P.S. I will check out the Gin Blossoms :)

Cool!  Can't wait to hear from you guys again!  Adios!

Tuesday, January 25, 2011

I didn't ask, you shouldn't have told me...

Gin Blossoms.
They're AMAZING!
I added some of their songs to my playlist on my blog :) check it out!
It's like total happy music :) great for drawing to... if you're me, anyway.

Anyway, today I started a new quarter!!!!!!!!  Yaaayyyyy!!!!
The only class I don't like is Geometry XP  Other than that, I have Spanish 3, Interpersonal Communications (yes thats a legit class!  We get to watch "my so-called life" and stuff!), and the best English class EVER!
English we get to do creative writing and stuff which is so freaking fun and we get to write essays and since I'm a dork I love writing essays and we get to read and I'm really happy!!!!!!!!! :D

So I kinda gots this idea... I really want some unbiased feedback on some of my drawings so I think I might ask one of my grandmas crazy artist friends to look at some of my drawings and tell me what they like and what I can improve on and stuff.  So I'll be able to ask people who wont be too worried about hurting my feelings to give good feedback and who actually knows a thing or two about what theyre saying and can say stuff like "I like how you did....... but maybe you should try......... oh here you should have done.......... but I really like this part where........" instead of "I like this its pretty!!!" or "I dont like this one.  it doesnt have enough pink" or whatever.  I think I'll ask Ms. Elissa too just cause shes an artist too but... yeah.  I'll let you guys know how that goes :)

Oatmeal

Hey! I heard that we didn't have to be at school at 7:30, although it was recommended.

Anyway, OMG! Megan! This maybe a little far off but are you doing anything on March 21!?!?!?!?!
So I was checking on the Oatmeal and they're (him) are coming to Minnesota!!!
And he's coming out with a book so I thought that if you wanted to go, we could head out after school and go and see him! Here's the info. I would just love to meet him and I'd love to have someone who's heard of him (and likes him) go with me!

Besides that, I had a very weird confrontation with some random guy yesterday.  I was waiting for my bus at the lightrail station and this guy comes up to me and says"Are you male or female?" I gave him a weird look and said "Female?" and he gave me a weird smile (I noticed that he had cuts all over his face) and said "You stand like a guy... Just wanted to let you know that."
Hmmmmm, some people really make you wonder huh?

Jude Writes a Letter

There we go!  I put different pictures of the letter up because they're so much easier to read than the original picture.  Enjoy!

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

you guys have school on monday, and I don't!!!!  :)

Jude, that dress will look amazing :)  It's very pretty :)

I'm really glad we made up too!!!!  I hated fighting with him...
Fetal pigs?? Ewwww!!!  I accidentally walked in while one group was still dissecting their mouse and it was way gnarly :P
You had to do a whole packet?!?!!? I just had a one-page paper... double-spaced...  I wrote it in like 30 minutes.  It would have been sooner if I didn't have to deal with my schools crappy computers.

So I have a new addiction... I am hooked on Call Of Duty: Black Ops.
Yeah, yeah I know violence is wrong even in video games, but theres a thing on it where you can kill Nazi Zombies (Yes, you read that correctly: Nazi Zombies) instead of people which makes me feel a lot less guilty :)  I spent like a day and a half playing it (*cough*cough*nerd*cough*).  I would have played it longer-I would be playing it right now as a matter of fact-except it was my friend Nikki's and it only works for PS3 and I just have a PS2 and she brought her PS3 and Call Of Duty over here but when she left she took them with :(  I told Keiran and he said hes experienced the same thing and he said "It's exactly how I imagined going through withdrawl would be".  SO FREAKING TRUE!!!  AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!  I am adding "Play COD on the omni theatre screen" to my List Of Things To Do Before I Die.

Okay enough obsessing over video games.
Jude, I have some good news for you!!!!  Remember tat book about art journaling u let me borrow?  Well my mom bought it for me on Amazon!!!!  :D  YAY!!!!  So I can give you yours back the next time we see each other... Which must be soon!!!!!
I gotta go now my friend is in need of cheering up...  Bye!

MOA

Hey, today I went to the mall of america and it was very fun!

First I got this really cute shirt and this awesome necklace (that I'll wear on Monday if I don't freeze).

Then when we were about to leave I saw the mascot for underwater world (the shark thing) and I thought that it was empty so I stared at it and it's arms suddenly moved and I screamed and started running.
Then a little later after that (we had stopped for some chocolate) I saw him and he saw me. We looked at each other for a minute and then I think he recognized me and put his hands up like 'hey! I know you!' and then I ran into the chocolate store and hide.

Then the guy around the counter laughed and asked, "Are you really afraid of that thing?" I nodded and left. How scary is that?

Oh! and Megan, I finished that book!!!!! I loved it!!!!! It wasn't the ending that I was looking for, but I really liked how the book didn't follow the normal format of a romance book.

Some Anecdotes from the Actual Weekend Part of the Long Weekend

Hello!

I have quite a few tidbits to share with you today!

Number One: The fire.

Might as well get the not-so-good stuff out of the way.  So, at five in the morning, my mom came into my room and woke me up (except not really, I was already half-awake I guess).  She asked if I wanted to see the fire.  I had no idea what she was talking about, but I followed her out to our living room any way.  The fire wasn't on our block, but it was just a block down.  We could see almost everything.  There were three or four fire trucks, an ambulance, and a news crew.  That house is completely gone now.  When my parents talked to some of the people on that block, they were told that that house was "the drug house."  The lady that lived there came outside after it caught fire and stood in her back yard just watching.  They believe that she was stoned or something like that.

Number Two: Titanic

I had the opportunity to go to this place called Bibelot (Beeble-low) and it's so cool!  It's like Patina, but Bibelot.    I decided that I want to come back there before I go to college so that I may put my college kitchen together!  Any way, we came home with an ice cube tray in the shape of Titanic and several ice bergs ^_^  We have such a sick sense of humor...

Number Three: Girl Stuff

Tomorrow, I'm going to go get my dress for sweethearts.  Hurray!  I'm excited!  Yesterday, I did a little internet window shopping with my cousin McKenna (it's her birthday today-- she's nineteen!) and my mom.  I wanted to show you the ones that I was looking at because I couldn't wait until tomorrow to show you guys the dress that I actually got.  Sorry if the pictures are really tiny and tell me what you think!

I think I'm leaning toward the bottom right one...

Any who, that's probably not what you expected to read from me, but here you go!

I hope all of your finals went well-- they're all done now!  We can move on to next semester now!  Hurray!  Avery, did you hear that we have to be to school by 7:45 on Tuesday to get our second semester schedules? Do you think you'll need a ride that day?  I could ask my mom if you want.

Ezra, I'm really glad you and Kieran made up :)  I don't like it when you're sad...  Also, that was the worst part of biology.  We had fetal pigs to disect, so that's probably bigger than a mouse.  I opted for the packet instead.

Have a good Monday off, guys!

Love,
Jude

finals day!!!

dang it my advice wasnt taken :(

Well today I have finals (again) but I only have one final (acting) because I TA for the other class I was to hae a final in today, so it shouldnt be too bad.

Yesterday I actually forgot I had finals until I got to school O.o
I had Bio and History.  History was ridiculously easy, and I crammed for Bio right before I took the actual test so I don't THINK I did too bad....
I did a scene in acting yesterday.  I was a really mean nun :)  But no one said I looked like a nun... Here's what people said I looked like:

my friend Aaron: a person with sex hair (!!!  SO not nun-ish!!!)

Kieran, my friend who used to have amazing hair before he brutally murdered it: A homeless person

Hanthon, my favorite person in the universe: A pedophile

So I guess the nun costume didnt really work out too well....  :P

Okay so I typed the first half of this this morning and am now finishing it, so UPDATE!!! my final was easy, I got As on the ones I took yesterday, and life is okay right now :)

Except that they were dissecting mice in bio today :(
It was so sad!!!!!!  There was a cute little mouse on its back with its feet up in the air and it was all dead and stuff... I wrote a paper instead.  I learned a lot about mouse anatomy :)

Nothing exceptionally fantastic has happened lately.  Me and my friend who used to have cool hair got into a fight, but we made up... I re-discovered my love for Jump 5 that I had when I was like eight or something... finals, boring teenager stuff, blah blah blah :P

just so ya'll know: video has officially killed the radio star.

on that note, I'm gonna go snack.  Bye!

Of Shows and Teachers

Yay! My advise was taken!

I haven't been watching American Idol because like where did all the GOOD people go? I liked it when Paula and Simon would argue and in the background you'd see Randy talking about dogs and yo, how great was that? But now they've got this old guy (who looks like someone burnt his face and then ran it over) and then they've got Jennifer Lopez (and I'm not the biggest fan of her...) but anyway, why? Was it actually good?

Oh! And today, my teacher was SO pissed! We were taking a test (and he's awesome so he lets up listen to our ipods during class) and this guy named Thomas started singing. But it wasn't the good kind, it was totally tone deaf and very hard to sit through. After being told off by the teacher (Mr.Simons) he was quiet for a while but then he let out the LOUDEST fart ever! Everyone in the class started cracking up and Mr.Simons just started yelling at him telling him how everyone knows that he's dumb and that he needs to stop goofing off and how he knew that he was going to fail. How sad!

Adrenaline is the Same as Butterflies

Thanks for your advice, guys!

Ezra, normally I'm like you and I find it very romantic when the guy asks the girl-- it's the cutest thing in the world, especially around the time when they're advertising for dances (at least at South it is.  I can't speak for other schools).

However, I think I'm going to take Avery's advice this time.  I think I'll ask him tomorrow :)  I'm kind of excited. I'm getting an adrenaline rush just thinking about it...

I'll tell you how it goes!

Thanks again!

--Jude

P.S. Do you guys watch American Idol?

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

DO  NOT TAKE AVERY'S ADVICE!!!

(No offense Avery...)

I may sound old-fashioned, but you should NEVER ask a boy out first!!!!!!!!!!  NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd go the way of dropping not-so-subtle hints.  Or wait till he asks you.

Also, don't worry about the dream thing- it probably is just some deeply buried fears that are surfacing in your subconscious in the form of dreams.

That's all :)

In The Advise Corner

Hello!
Well, to start off with you're dream, I personally don't know much about dreams, but I would
think that if you had dreams about killing people you know would be that you were keeping
something bottled up and you wanted to release it (I guess for you killing :))
But if that didn't help, I recommend going to here! It's always helped me with my wacked up
dreams!

#1. First of all, I think that the person you were talking to was a big jerk. Why go to your sister
to tell you to stop talking? Who does that? But anyway, I think that you should subtly start
talking about something else and if the other person goes back to the first subject, then it's
safe to say that they want to keep talking about that certain thing.

#2. I think that girls today have a tendency (not that I'm saying you do) to wait to be asked while
it's a really big deal to ask anyone out. Regardless of what gender you are. I think that you should
ask him and it might just be that he can't go, and didn't want to get your hopes up, or the fact that
he's spacing out (a lot... haha) But anyway, go ahead and ask him!

~Avery, peace!

Jude the Questioneer.

Hello Ezra and Avery!

So a couple nights ago, I had a recurring dream.  Scratch that, I had three bad recurring dreams thrown into one.  It was really weird, because it was episodic and I haven't had those particular dreams in years... I'm surprised that they were still familiar.

I waited too long to write this to remember exactly what happened in the dreams, but they involved the brutal deaths of Jack, my dad, and some lady that I didn't know.  It's not that I desire these events to happen-- that would be twisted, and if that ever happens, please send me through the post office to a mental institution in bubble wrap (bubble wrap is crucial.  That'll keep me happy for a while until I get to the institution).  I don't know how my brain came up with these dreams.  Are either one of you knowledgeable about dream stuff?

I have some other questions for you guys too.

1) How do you tell someone that you're ready to change the subject in a conversation?  I was talking to one of my sister's friends on Facebook and we got to (passively) talking about ways to get to sleep (because she has insomnia or just doesn't like to sleep).  In order for me to stop talking to her, she had to go to Shannon and ask her to ask me to stop talking to her.  I didn't really know what else to say to her, so I kept going with the last topic we had started.  None of my suggestions were pleasing to her and I really wanted to help.  How would you handle a situation like that?

2) So there's this dance coming up and I kind of want to go, but I haven't been asked yet.  Tickets for it went on sale today, but the huge poster has been up for a couple weeks at least.  Should I wait for him to ask me or ask him myself?

It's so different asking advice!  I'm terrible at coming up with questions...

Avery, it is your turn!  Ezra, I'll talk to you hopefully sometime soon and Avery, I'll see you tomorrow!

That's all :)

Who am I?

Today, I had a personality test (at school, so it's official) and I'd love to share it!

Understanding you, AVERY
People like you are usually imaginative, creative, and sensitive. You are a private person, and take your time to get to know people and to let others get to know you. You probably have a small group of close and trusted friends, and are generally cautious about jumping into new social situations. People describe you as thoughtful and empathetic, and you will try hard to please the people you care about. Outwardly quiet, you have strong feelings and opinions, especially about the way people should treat one another. You are very committed to your beliefs so you may have trouble backing down or compromising your ideals just to get other peoples' approval. You can be somewhat of a perfectionist. People sometimes disappoint you and since it's hard for you to stay objective, you may often get your feelings hurt.

You may love to fantasize about the future, and probably enjoy creative activities like writing, reading, music, and art. You tend to be organized, efficient, and inventive about getting your work done, and are a responsible and respectful person. Since you like to have a plan of action, you may get flustered by sudden changes and need plenty of time to adjust to or prepare for new experiences. You like spending time alone and while you may like doing things with your good friends, you are typically not the one who initiates social activities. Since you are a good listener, people trust you and are often amazed by the original insights you have about others. You naturally look below the surface to understand the deeper meaning in every experience and interaction.

I'd say I'd have to agree!

Ke$ha Looked Like a Man Last Night...

Well, she did... I was with Jack's family and she was performing in New York, but when we looked at her, she looked too masculine to be the Ke$ha that I've seen on the CD covers in music stores...

I did some Google searching for you.

I guess "Fear of Driving" is a form of Agoraphobia, which is a fear of open spaces.  I didn't think that that made sense though, because you said that you're afraid of going more than 10 miles an hour and getting into an accident.  Plus, you talk about running away to Florida or some other warm climate all the time, so open spaces doesn't match up...

So I went to a couple message boards because there were other people that are scared of driving like you are.  Most of them were new drivers.  Some of the advice that other people gave was to stick to non-busy roads as long as you can while you're still practicing.  That way you can get practice moving at a slow pace and you can get used to what you're supposed to be doing.  Slowly but surely, you'll convince yourself that it's okay to go a little faster and use a more busier road.

As for cell phone use, I couldn't agree more!  I absolutely hate it when I see the drivers of cars using their phones.  I always give them dirty looks as I pass by them (when I'm not driving, that is).  It's just like, "Thanks, I now see how your priorities are aligned... business and chatting above babies and other people..."

Same for drunk driving!  I can only think of one instance where I might have been in the presence of a drunk driver.  My family and I were coming home from...somewhere... that's beside the point.  Any way, we were coming home on the highway and we noticed this guy weaving in and out of traffic, going really fast and going over the dividing line like nobody's business.  It finally came to a point where he drove up next to a guy and started to veer over into his lane, almost crashing into him.  Luckily, that guy was awake enough to slow down, honk, and get out of that maniac's way.  It was really scary.  Mom called 911 and we were asked to follow him as closely as we dared and to stay on the phone.  We did that, and later, they told us we could stop following him and go home.  That was still one of the scariest things though...

Ezra, you don't have to be afraid of driving.  You've taken the class, you did a little behind the wheel... you know what you're doing and you're in control.  Maybe next time you go out and practice, you could bring a CD of the Grateful Dead or The Eagles to play while you're driving and maybe that'll put your mind at ease and you'll realize that driving isn't as scary as you thought.  It'll get better :)

Here's the website where I got the bulk of my information: Click heyah!

Happy New Year, guys!!!  Did you make it to midnight?  What are your resolutions, if you have any?

Avery, it was so much fun hanging out with you a few days ago!  All of those games of life, and Cloverfield, and albinism, and horoscopes... it was great fun!  We should do that again sometime.

Okay, this is a really long post, so I'll stop here, because this is all I really wanted to say.  So Happy New Year again, and I'll see you... well, Avery, I'll see you Monday because school starts, but I will talk to you both pretty soon hopefully.
