A fact about me that is both bogus and sad...

I have a phobia.
I always thought I didn't have any serious fears-I'm a little scared of bugs, a little more scared of spiders.  I don't really like the dark, and I hate quiet because it's boring.  But nothing that keeps me up at night.
Then yesterday, my grandma mentioned something about drunk drivers, and I FREAKED OUT.  I went on a rant that went a little something like this:
"I hate drunk drivers!!!!  I think the penalty for them should be so much worse than it is.  I mean, just think about it-they're KILLING people.  There was some kid at my school a couple of years ago (before I wnet there) who got hit by a drunk driver and killed.  It should be like in Sweden where if you're caught once, even if you don't hit anything, they take away your license forever and there's no way to get it back.  Irresponsible driving is the one thing that I do not tolerate.  Like people who talk on their phones and drive?  I was in the car with Auntie the other day and she took out her phone and I yelled 'PUT THAT AWAY!' but she didn't listen!  Can you believe that?  We could totally crash!!!!  In drivers Ed I had to watch a movie and there was this chick who was talking on her phone AND not wearing a seat belt and her head banged into the steering wheel and they showed her and it was SO GRUESOME!  Her entire jaw had come off and she had a big gash in her head-like BIG, you couldn't see her nose or eyes or anything.  It was just a big bloody mess.  And all of her friends that were in the car with her died too!!  How could she do that with other people in the car?  And texting and driving!!!!  We watched Seven Pounds at the lock-in, and that whole thing was started because he was texting and driving pretty much!!!  Oh, and don't even get me started on motorcyclists who don't wear helmets-my biggest fear is that one will crash into me and hit his head on my windshield, and- AAAHHHHH!!!"  At that point I started hyperventilating and fanning my face with my hands because I was fully overheating.
That's when it occurred to me that I have a serious fear of driving.
When I was going through drivers ed, I had nightmares about driving every night-I would be driving and my breaks would fail and I would realize the emergency break was on the other side of the car where I couldn't reach it; I crashed through the doors of the Mall of America and ran over tons of people because my breaks weren't working; I crashed into a crate of dynomite; a motorcyclist with no helmet on hit me; I crahsed my Auntie's minivan with my little cousin in the backseat; etc. etc.etc...-but people said it was just while I was in drivers ed and that it would pass after I finished.  The nightmares passed, but the idea of actually driving freaks me out so bad... the only way I got through behind-the-wheel was knowing that the teacher had breaks on his side.  When my mom would take me to the cemetery to drive (because thats where she learned), I wouldn't go any faster than 10 mph.
This is bad.
I probably can't go my entire life without getting my license.  So how am I gonna do that????  Ahhhhhhh!!!!!  Scary :/
Yeah just thought I'd share that tidbit of information that I recently discovered about myself...

I googled "how to overcome fear of driving" and got nothing helpful.  They said "driving anxiety is caused by traumatic memories, such as being in a car crash."  Not the case here.  I don't even know anyone who has been seriously injured in a car crash.  So whats my deal??

Sad Things... With Happy Endings!

Today I was walking to Caribou to get some hot chocolate and I see this guy
in a wheel chair just parked at a really snowy corner. He didn't look very
happy. When I got close to him he motioned me over and I asked,"Do you need
help?" He nodded. He then pointed to a bus stop a few feet away. So I tried
to get him out and over there but he was like super stuck, so I told him to
stay there and that I'd get help.

I spotted this other guy waiting at the bus stop and said,"Excuse me, the guy over
there in the wheel chair is stuck and I can't get him out. Can you help?"
He looked super concerned when he saw the guy and helped him to the bus stop and I thanked him! :) What a nice guy.
Happy Day!

Jude's Tuesday

Oh, my nerd video :)

So, this is what I was doing before Jack came over and saved me from brain rot and everything else that comes with playing one game too much. We watched SNL and 30 Rock and listened to a crap-ton of music instead :)

Ezra, I'm really super excited to see you tomorrow! I got my typewriter out from under my bed and everything. Also, I was wondering if maybe you could help me with a project-- not a school project, just a for-fun one. I had an idea for another stop-motion music video.

Avery, we need to figure out a day to hang out and play trivial pursuit and eat cookies and all that jazz! I also need to give you your Christmas present...

Ezra, I wish you luck on your sewing project! You can feel free to bring it along tomorrow, if you want. I still have sock monkeys to finish, so we could be sewing buddies for some of the time (you know, if that's what floats your boat).

Have a good day, guys!

--Jude

It's astounding, time is fleeting...

MADNESS TAKES ITS TOLL!!!
Best part about blogging on two blogs: I can use Rocky Horror Quotes for titles that I already used on my other blog!

Avery: No that was Lucky, the crazy gerbil.  He ran on his wheel like ALL NIGHT LONG.

Jude: Fluffy the psycho hamster was just plain Fluffy until she had babies and then her protectiveness kicked in and just never went away cuz she would bite us every time we tried to touch her, and afterwards I swear to god she would glare at us :P
Also, OMG we get to hang out tomorrow!!!!!!!  Excitement!!!!!!!!!!

So I am attempting to sew my little sister a stuffed zombie for christmas (she loves zombies)  I spent like 3 hours sewing the face on and then I started on other details, then I was like "I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!" and I had to take a break.  Sewing always makes me feel claustrophobic...

Okay this is gonna be a short post because im going somewhere and my ride is coming in like 2 minutes and im still in my pajamas with yesterdays lipstick still on :P  Winter break makes me lazyyy.  Bye!

Happy Times!

Ezra, it's so nice to talk to you again! You made me crack up reading about all of your flash backs :)

I'm very sorry about your cat she was very nice, and I may have met your hamster... was it the one that ran on it's wheel the whole time I spent the night?

To Megan: No, my brother came in at like 9 so not a totally random time and I was awake so there weren't any thoughts about robbers.

What is the secret gift going to be given? When we're not home? Sounds suspicious...

Jude is So Glad Ezra and Avery Had a Happy Virtual Reunion :D

Hello!

I can definitely take the day assignments down and just put an order or something.  In fact, I think I will.  We're all chatty people, so why not?

Avery, is your brother here for Christmas?  Did he come home at a random hour in the morning again?

Ezra, I have not visited that website, but I definitely will, because the web address alone sound quite intriguing!
Fluffy the Psycho hamster?  How did this come to be the hamster's title?

Avery, I'm so happy that you've joined us at last!

I will leave my post short.

Oh yes!  I got a new camera, so I won't have to show you very many crappy pictures any more!  Hurray!

I will see... well look at that!  It's Avery's turn again!

I'll see you guys next time :D

--Jude

P.S. Is there a day/time period when you guys aren't going to be at your houses?  I have something for both of you!

*hug tackles avery*

I HAVEN'T TALKED TO YOU IN LIKE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And if I remember correctly, I gave you Jane Eyre for your birthday, didn't I?

OMG speaking of afros, you know who I miss????  Deonte :(  I haven't talked to him in forever either...
Remember when me and him had that nerdy handshake and you rolled your eyes every time you saw us do it???  Ahhhhhh good times...

On the bright side, I have a friend with an amazing afro so I'm not TOTALLY deprived of afro-d friends...

You and Deonte are like the only two things I actually miss about middle school (well and Leo...) High school freaking ROCKS!!!!  I love my school :)

I just woke up from a nap so I'm still quite drowsy and my thoughts are pretty scattered right now...
I am currently karaoke-ing Jackson 5 :)
Remember that one time at my house when we went on youtube and karaoke-d all these songs????
OMG and our "epic" game of scrabble?
Tell your mom I said hi!!!  I remember her being really nice :)
Did you ever read "and then there were none?"  Did you like it??
Remember our Twilight phases? (Both Jude and Avery)
OMG I'm having like 500 flashbacks at once of middle school :)  That was back when I still did all of my drawings in crayon...
Dude have you ever done ACTUAL karaoke?  Like in front of people???  It's like one of my favorite things to do :)  Once I was at a place where they were doing karaoke and all these teenage girls were doing like miley cyrus and stuff and I got up there and did "Jesse's girl" afterwards and I got like a zillion high-fives :)
TO JUDE:
Have you been to dearblankpleaseblank.com? I swear it's as addictive as MLIA :)
TO AVERY AGAIN:
I have some bad news.  My cat Clover died in June :(  I remember she used to like you... But I got a cat named Emily now :)  She's like the cutest thing ever!!!!  Besides Fluffy the psycho hamster of course...
Did you ever meet Fluffy the psycho hamster???  She died when I was in 6th grade I believe...
Okay I'm pretty much ranting about random things (what else is new?) so I think I'm gonna go.  Bye!
And this is the last time I'll post when it's not my day to post :/  I didn't see the thing 'till I had already written this...

First Times The Charm

Well, welcome to my first post! :) I sure have a lot to live up to... Well, anyway, I am super excited to say that my brother is in town! He came in early this morning and then we went to the mall where my friend Ezra (sorry Ezra, totally different person) and we got stoked by this guy with a huge afro. It was super fun. Um... I'm also putting up my christmas tree today so that'll be exciting! And btw Megan, I've read Jane Eyre and LOVED IT! :D
Peace!

Some Brief Input Before Avery Posts

Some Awesome Books that Ezra and Avery Should Read Sometime in Their Lives
1. Anything by John Green (An Abundance of 'Katherines,' 'Papertowns,' 'Looking for Alaska')
2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (if you haven't already)
3. The Night Tourist by Katherine Marsh (ghosties and the underworld and Cerberus!)
4. 'I Am the Messenger' and/or 'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak (I love his name just as much as the books)
5. This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
6. Anything by Gabrielle Zevin ('Elsewhere,' 'Margarettown,' 'Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac')
7. Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer (written in diary form about the end of the world.  Sad, but super good)
8. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants (all four of them) by Ann Brashares
9. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher (if you're in a mood that's less than happy, don't read.  It's incredibly sad).
10. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

Hopefully these suggestions help!

I am off to Half-Price books myself!  I'm also off to get a new camera (Nikon for the win!) and to Michaels because it smells so darn good and I also have to get something there...

I finished with my college testing!  My SAT and ACT!  Now I just have to wait for the results to come.

Avery, I can't wait to read your first post!

So many exclamation points!!

--Jude

Errrrrrr... winter *mad face*

I am extremely cold :/
One of these days I'm going to have to amputate my toes.  They're ALWAYS cold!!!!!!  ALWAYS!

So today is my first day of break.  Good because I can sleep in and stuff now, but bogus because I really don't have any exciting plans.  I might hang out with my friend with big fluffy hair, and my friend Zoe, and then you Jude *Happy dance!!!* but other than that...
CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am  excited for christmas...

So I did not get into Rocky Horror :(
It's okay though because I wasn't really expecting to after that dance audition...

Speaking of Rocky Horror, they're showing it at midnight again on new years!!!!!  AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!  Even though the odds of my grandma letting me skip out on new years with my family to go yell lines and throw stuff at the screen with a bunch of costumed freaks is low, I still REALLY want to go...

Jude, do you have any book recommendations for me?  Because my mom mentioned taking me to the bookstore and I need something really entertaining to read.... If not I'll just re-read "Speak".  That book is depressing, but I really like the art teacher :)

I really don't have much exciting to say, but...

Starfish and coffee by Prince

Here's a song that I like :)
bye!

Jude Learns Magic, Plays Music with the Dallas Brass, and Makes Snow Forts

Ezra, I have good news.  Not really for you, but for me.  I had Chinese food last night.  It was rather delicious.  I ate a cream cheese wanton for you :)

I'm so mean...

Were they really expecting you guys to pay attention with a lack of people in the building and minuscule attention spans?  Silly, inattentive teachers... :)

So, we had to go back to school today.  It was actually quite a relief, for me any way.  The two snow days were fun, but I was getting really stir crazy!

So today, I got to have an earlier lunch hour, for reasons that I will explain in greater detail a little later... I abandoned Avery (I'm so sorry!) and ate lunch in the engineering room with Jack and Rosemary and her friend Sarah.  I watched an entire group of people play Magic-- it was really confusing, but they all seemed to know what they were doing, and I wasn't playing, so it's all good.

After lunch, I had to go into the auditorium for a band clinic with the Dallas Brass (we're playing with them at 7 tonight and I'm so psyched for that!  They are amazing and they were really impressed with the Wind Ensemble.  I have no idea what they thought about Concert or Symphonic band).  Any way, that's why I had a different lunch hour and I got to skip three of my classes today!

Oh yes!  Avery and I finished the snow fort that we started!  I'm not sure if we're going back to dig more (which would be cool, but I'm not sure if that snow mound we dug into will allow it).  I want to go back one of these days and at least get a picture so that you may see!

That's really cool that people at your school are still so upbeat even though there's a ton of snow there to get us all down.  Those people are amazing shining stars!

I think it's Avery's turn to post, since she hasn't posted anything yet.  Do you think we should assign days or something?  That might make things a little easier to do.  Since there's three of us, we could do Monday/Wednesday/Friday or something like that.  Tell me what you think!

In the meantime, I have to dress all in black and get ready for my concert!  I am so freaking excited, I cannot even

Have a good rest of the week!  Two more days until break!  Hurray!

Lets do the time warp again!!!!!!!

So once again, I am stuck in school while you lame public school kids have a snow day *mad face*. I am currently writing this from history class, where it is unusually quiet because only abou half of the kids are here.
My rocky horror dance audition is today after school!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!! I'm so nervous!!!! :/.
I wonder if she realizes that I have my iPod out... I'm not even trying to hide it at this point. I'm craving Chinese food. Especially cream cheese wontons. Yes!!!!!!!!! Oh my god!!! How can they expect us to pay attention in class when there are so many things that we could be distracted by????
Were supposed to be playing jeoprady! But were not exactly getting a lot done...
So after lunch I was in a really great mood because I had eaten some particularly delicious pineapple, and right after lunch I saw my friend with the big fluffy hair who hadn't been at school all day, and I pretty much hug-tackled him. He wasn't too happy with me because as it turns out he had just woken up literally a half hour before that. Then at that exact time a bunch of girls randomly skipped past us, another group of people started singing, and he was just like "is everyone hyper today???" ahhh I love my school.
I will have to hug tackle him again later I guess. It's no fun to hug tackle people when they're all tired and groggy and crabby.
In the past two days I have drawn about 5 palmtrees. I'm getting fairly good at it.
Teacher coming this way!!! Must go!!!! Bye!!!!

Vegan Zombie Restaurant

So whilst texting you, Ezra, today (while you were in school!) we started discussing what a vegetarian zombie would  do when the zombie apocalypse came about.  I haven't figured out the fake brain or brain substitute, but at least you'd have a restaurant to go to!
You might have noticed that this is not quite done, but this is what I created today.  I was going to put an outside place and then who knows what inside.  I'm guessing zombies don't care much about tables and chairs, so that's probably out.  Maybe just pools and pools of brain substitute and that type of thing.

"Foxy" seems like a term of the 20's... maybe throughout time, it's been given a bad connotation.  Like cougar!  It can't just be a cute and cuddly wild animal any more.  Instead, it has to be an older woman lusting after younger guys... ew, by the way.

It's a great version!  One of my friends from school and I were texting back and forth and I just had to tell him that I had gone over to the Dark Side by finding a song from Glee that I actually liked.  Then I told him about Darren Criss and the conversation sort of stopped... I think I made it uncomfortable :(  Oops...

By the way, "Super-mega-foxy-awesome-hot" is a quote from 'A Very Potter Musical' and it was aimed at the girl playing Cho Chang.  It's also on a t-shirt, but that's not the one I want to get someday in the future.  They look a little something like this:

A dance audition that they didn't tell you about?  I thought people were required to tell you that sort of stuff up front, so everyone knows what they're getting themselves into.  You'll do great though!  Just keep practicing!  How did your singing auditions go by the way?  I completely forgot to ask on the 8th.

I like that song that you shared!  Unfortunately, I don't have a song to share with you today.  I'll have to keep my ears peeled (or open, any way).

Sorry it took me so long to post this!  Hopefully it won't happen again...

Well, I had best be getting everything ready for school tomorrow.  Chances are, there isn't going to be another snow day and I'm actually going to have to get up at a decent hour like you did today.

Sleep tight!

super-mega-foxy-awesome-hot? :D

that was a terrific quote :)
how come no one says "foxy" anymore?  I havent heard anyone use that as a legit compliment in a looong time...  we should totally bring it back :)
that is an excellent version of that song!!!!!!  i actually like that one better than the original, which is weird cuz i normally dont like Glee's versions of songs... especially when they did (and, in my opinion, totally ruined) Rocky Horror *mad face*
Speaking of rocky horror, I have auditions for rocky horror this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :/
apparently theres a dance audition that they didnt tell us about till the last minute :/  im especially nervous for that...

So this song just came on and I really like it :D  I felt the need to tell the world about it.  I dont know if you like owl city, but this is like my favorite song by them :)  i find it to be super cute.  I couldnt find the actual music video so i did one of the ones with lyrics...

The Saltwater Room by Owl City

Enjoy :)

I actually didnt notice the imbedding thing until it wouldnt let me imbed a video of that song... thats weird...

I'm Only Half-Ashamed...

Ezra, I have a guilty pleasure. It's this:

No, not Glee, but this version of the song and the super-mega-foxy-awesome-hot guy that's in the front. Darren Criss! (insert fan-girl squeal here)

I'm sad that it had to freaking snow yesterday. I guess the snow plows haven't really been out yet. I heard my dad saying that he saw a snow plow go down 42nd near my house. He looked like he was having fun! So much fun that plowing really wasn't his first priority... but I digress.

Like, completely buried? That's crazy! We've had cars become trapped because the ruts left on the street are too far away from the tires and the snow mountains are too high.

I hope your mom gets her car out before spring!

I was laughing so hard when I noticed the pattern in your songs :D I'm so excited for the playlists!

Hey, have you been noticing that embedding YouTube videos on our blog doesn't work any more? I wonder if that's just a glitch or what...

Have a good afternoon doing whatever needs to be done!

--Jude

Hey Jude!

Hi!
So today we were supposed to be together... but sadly we are not :(
Now I too am snowed in :P  You should see my building... the driveway is totally blocked.  My moms car is actually buried!  It's insane.
Did you know this is the worst blizzard since 1991?  The roof of the Metrodome collapsed.  Ugh....
Here's what I'm daydreaming about right now:

Palm trees.  The ocean.  Humidity.  Warmth.  Sigh...
I'll start working on a playlist for our combined blog soon!!!  I would make it now, but when I was brainstorming ideas it went something like this:
"California" by Metro Station
"Hotel California" by The Eagles
"The great escape" by Boys like girls
"we gotta get out of this place" by the animals
"somewhere that's green" from little shop of horrors
"california girls" by katy perry
Sensing a pattern? :/
So I think I'l wait 'till I'm feeling a tad less obsessive...
Okay I'm off to draw pictures of palm trees.  Until next time!
-Ezra :)

Ezra and Jude's Epic Adventure! Day 1

P.S. I'm kind of experimenting with intro/outro songs, so it might change in the future.  Hurray!  I've figured out how to put a video now!  For some reason, it wasn't working before...

--Jude
